Membership

Categories of Membership:
  1. Individual:
    Individual members are persons engaged in, or previously engaged in, or interested in, Laboratory animal care and/or research. Members from this category are eligible for receiving Newsletters, Journals, Email Updates; discounted fees for attending the LASA events, applying for various Awards and are also eligible for contesting LASA elections and exercising voting rights.

    Fees:
    National Member: Life Member: Rs. 3000
    International Member: Life Member: $ 200

  2. Student:
    Student members are enrolled in a recognized educational institution and benefit from reduced membership rates in LASA during the tenure as a student. Required to submit bonafide certificate every year before July. Student members must be residents of India. Members from this category are eligible for receiving Newsletters, Journals, Email Updates, discounted fees for attending the LASA events and are also eligible for exercising voting rights during the studentship. Members from this category are not eligible for contesting LASA elections and applying for LASA Awards.

    Fees:
    Rs. 500 during their studentship

  3. Institutional:
    Institutional members are any educational institutions or Not-for-profit organizations, that wish to participate in efforts to improve the scientific quality of animal research and educational standards of animal care personnel. Institutional members do not have the right to vote at membership meetings. Each institutional member is entitled to receive certificate of recognition. Members from this category are eligible for receiving Newsletters, Journals, Email Updates, discounted fees for attending the LASA events. Members from this category can send their institute logos for pasting on the LASA website. Members from this category are not eligible for contesting LASA elections, exercising voting rights and applying for LASA Awards.

    Fees:
    Lifetime: Rs. 25000

  4. Corporate:
    Corporate membership is available to businesses whose activities are relevant to the objectives of the association. Corporate Membership will be entitled to have their names listed on the LASA website along with the link to their homepage. Each corporate member is entitled to receive certificate of recognition from LASA. Members from this category are eligible for receiving Newsletters, Journals, Email Updates, discounted fees for attending the LASA events. Members from this category can send their institute logos for pasting on the LASA website. Members from this category are not eligible for contesting LASA elections, exercising voting rights and applying for LASA Awards.

    Fees:
    Lifetime : Rs. 25000,


Mode of Payment
Payment may be made by DD in favour of "LASA India" and send it to the Secretary/Treasurer, LASA India, Mumbai address.
